What it is
Practice Helper is a practice companion for musicians, intended for use by piano teachers and their students to create structured and trackable practice sessions. It tracks repertoire, practice goals, and session history.
The problem
Musicians know they should practice deliberately, but planning effective sessions is a skill most never develop. Between lessons, practice happens unstructured and unrecorded. Teachers can’t see what happened during the week, and students lose track of what they were supposed to work on.
How it works
- Repertoire tracking. Catalog pieces you’re working on with difficulty ratings, target tempos, and notes.
- Goal setting. Define what you want to achieve (performance prep, technique building, sight-reading improvement).
- Session logging. Record what you actually practiced, with notes on what went well or needs work.
- Progress over time. See your trajectory across weeks, not just today’s snapshot.
Why it matters
Practice improves when it’s structured and visible. Students see their progress accumulate, and teachers see what actually happened between lessons.
