What it is

Fit is a workout app that surfaces the most relevant exercises to do today. It was born from a physical therapy program I was given after a back injury. Now I use it every day to get a workout plan and to log my progression.

The problem

Working out involves too much guesswork. What did I do last time? What have I been neglecting? What weight was I at? Fitness apps answer these questions by burying you in sessions, programs, and configuration. In a world of overly complex fitness apps, this one is as minimal as possible.

How it works

  • The library surfaces what’s overdue. Exercises are grouped by category and sorted by least recently done, so the things I’ve been neglecting float to the top.
  • Tap what you’re doing today. Check it off when done. Record the weight for lifts.
  • The history grid shows progression. Every exercise across every week: weights, checkmarks, mileage.
  • No sessions, no sets and reps, no save button.

Current status

In daily use, running as a service on my home machine. Not deployed publicly.
